Why am I a Real Estate Agent? It’s a question I get asked a lot for some reason. Sometimes it is a question I ask myself when the hours get long and the negotiations get tough. You see, Real Estate is not for the weak at heart or spirit. Some days, some deals are easy as pie; some are more like a mud slide. To stick around, even during the hard times, you must have tough skin and most of all PASSION for the industry.

I am not sure when my passion started. My mother is a real estate agent and I loved hearing about her clients and contracts much before I was “in” the industry. Before I was a real estate agent, I was in the mortgage industry, did my PASSION start then? I remember one particular meeting in said profession stuck out to me. One of our underwriting managers reminded us about looking at the big picture, we were not just approving and processing one of many loans, we were making a dream come true to someone or an entire family. Our job had an impact in the way someone lived, providing them with the homeowner dream! This mentality has settled with me as I transitioned into home sales. Every house I help someone purchase or sell is changing their lives! That fact is something that our team takes seriously and to heart! There will always be homes on the market, there will always be couples, families, first time buyers, and retirees who want to pursue the homeownership dream or downsize their living quarters. No matter the situation, our clients can rest assured that when working with us, they will be truly cared for, listened to and that we will do all in our power to attain their dreams.

Aside from this, real estate really excites me; maybe that is also part of my zeal for the industry!! A lot of women in the world find excitement in shopping for or looking at shoes, purses or jewelry online or in person. I won’t kid you, while those things place me in a happy place too; THIS is what really does it to me!
